Frequently Asked Questions
-
Lessons are charged monthly, in packages of 4 lessons per month, depending on duration: 30 minutes, 45 minutes and 60 minutes
For specific pricing, feel free to approach our admin team via WhatsApp.
-
Yes, a S$150 non-refundable security deposit and a S$35 non-refundable registration fee apply when you enrol.
-
The S$150 deposit is an administrative fee that covers the entirety of your enrolment - it's a flat amount that applies across all packages, regardless of package tier. It exists to:
Reserve your child's slot upon enrolment and for upcoming months without requiring you to pay each month's fees in advance — right up until you give us notice;
Cover the admin work of processing a withdrawal; and
Serve as a buffer in case of late withdrawal notice, late payment, or an unpaid final lessons.
It helps us ensure our policy is upheld on both sides for you as our customer, and for us as well. It is held for the duration of your enrolment and applied according to the withdrawal terms in our policy.
Upon withdrawal, it also entitles you to 2 x 30-minute lessons or 1 x 60-minute lesson — this should be seen as added value on top of your overall enrolment with us, not a refund of the deposit itself.
In short: because you're billed month-to-month rather than locked into a term or year upfront — particularly for individual, one-on-one lessons, where a slot can't easily be released or reallocated to another student — the deposit is what makes that flexibility possible, without requiring a longer commitment from you.
PRICING AND PACKAGES
MAKEUP LESSONS
-
As long as the cancellation is made validly (i.e. within our required 3-hour notice period), the lesson is stored as a credit in your child's student portal, rather than forfeited
-
Stored credits may be used to:
Book a makeup lesson, or
Apply it as an extension to your lessons (subject to approval and availability).
Siblings or relatives are welcome to use the credits as well.
-
Yes, credits are valid for 180 days (6 months) from the original lesson date.
This is the flexibility we offer in place of an annual pause. Since enrolment is for individual, one-on-one lessons, a reserved timeslot can't easily be released or reallocated to another student, so we're not able to let a slot sit paused indefinitely.
The 180-day window gives you room to use credits around holidays and schedule changes, while keeping our scheduling sustainable.
EXTENDED HOLIDAYS
-
We're not able to offer an indefinite or annual pause, as each enrolment reserves an individual, one-on-one timeslot that can't easily be released or reallocated to another student while paused.
Instead, validly cancelled lessons are stored as credits in your child's student portal for 180 days (6 months), giving you flexibility to take a break, go on holiday, or manage schedule changes - without losing your slot or your lessons.
-
Since fees are collected monthly regardless of attendance, we recommend planning ahead if you know you'll be away for an extended period. Please refer to our makeup lessons policy so you can:
Understand how monthly billing continues during your absence, and
Plan your cancellations/credits accordingly so lessons aren't lost.
-
Yes, fees are collected monthly as usual. Any lessons missed during this time follow the same makeup credit process outlined above (i.e. validly cancelled lessons are stored in the student portal for makeup or extension use).
MUSIC DISCOVERY FOR YOUNG LEARNERS PROGRAMME
-
Group classes have a maximum of 4 students, though this may go up to 6 on days with makeup students joining.
Drop-in rate: S$55 per session
Bundle: 4 sessions for S$200, valid for 1 month
-
Both MD Group and Individual classes are specialised and follow the same MD curriculum, so the core learning content is consistent. The main differences come down to focus and dynamic:
Pace of learning: Individual classes are tailored to your child's own learning pace, while group classes follow a set timeline.
Instrument focus: Individual lessons allow us to shift focus toward a specific instrument, once your child has chosen a main instrument to take on later.
Terms and conditions: There are a few differences in our T&Cs between the two formats.
Performance opportunity: Once a group graduates, they perform together. Students who graduate from the individual programme perform on their own, though they can also choose to perform with peers if they came from a group class.
-
Students are guided through the fundamental building blocks of music — rhythm, pitch, tempo, and more — and get to explore a variety of instruments along the way.
It typically takes around 6 to 12 months to gauge whether a student is ready to move on to a chosen instrument — this can happen sooner for some children, and take a little longer for others, entirely depending on individual progress.
Ultimately, the heart of our Music Discovery programme is to nurture a genuine love for music, while guiding students towards discovering which instrument they're most naturally drawn to and likely to thrive in.
